Deep in the heart of New York City’s Flatiron District, fourteen comedian castaways are competing in the performance adventure of a lifetime. They must learn to work together, or risk being voted out. They will have to navigate comedic challenges and new twists if they want to make it to the end of the game and escape their doom. For the first time at the Asylum NYC, welcome to Outlaugh: Madhouse.

Outlaugh is back with its sixth season, now at the Asylum NYC with Host Jared Laxer and introducing co-host The Bachelorette (Elle Rochford). Using the rules from the reality show Survivor, Outlaugh brings the drama of social strategy games to live comedy.

FAQs

Q: Do I need to watch Survivor to understand Outlaugh?

A: Absolutely not! The hosts will explain any challenges, advantages, idols, and voting mechanics as they come up. Watching Survivor is recommended but only because it’s a great show.

Q: Do I need a season pass?

A: Get a season pass for the best price per show, but single tickets are available as well!

Q: I bought a season pass but my favorite player was voted out! Can I get a refund?

A: Your player is still in the game! If you’re a Survivor superfan you already know about the Edge of Extinction, this season Outlaugh has the Madhouse. Eliminated players “go to the Madhouse” where they compete for advantages and can ultimately win their way back into the main game. Everyone on cast has a role in every show.

Q: How does this competition work exactly?

A: Comedians will be separated into teams to compete for immunity. Winning teams are “safe” and the losing teams are sent to tribal council where the players are forced to vote out one of their own. At a predetermined point, teams will merge and players compete for individual immunity and advantages. Eliminated players are sent to “the Madhouse” where they can compete to play back into the main game. There will be two chances for an eliminated player to rejoin the main game. When only three players remain the eliminated players form “the Jury” and decide who ultimately played the best game.

Q: So the audience votes people out?

A: What? No, it’s the players, I just said. The players will be making all the eliminations but the audience can influence the game! Audience members might find hidden idols and advantages to gift to their favorite players and they may be asked to vote for the winner of Madhouse challenges. Follow @OutlaughComedy on Instagram for clues, updates, and opportunities to support your favorite players.

Q: I missed a show. Will I understand what’s happening?

A: YES! There are many ways to get recaps this season – Outlaugh will post recaps on substack, we have a podcast that will give episode highlights, interviews with eliminated players, and speculate on strategies and alliances. Don’t have time to read or listen? You can still jump into the show and have a great time. Whether it’s week one or the finale, each show features original standalone comedy performances from our incredible cast.
